Director prohibitions issued in March 2026
In March 2026, the Registrar of Companies prohibited 7 people from managing companies.
Under the Companies Act 1993, the Registrar can ban (prohibit) people from being a company director or manager of a company for a period up to 10 years. This can happen if they were involved in managing one or more companies that failed due to mismanagement.
Prohibitions remove higher‑risk individuals from the commercial arena, protect the public, and deter poor management.
